About UNMASC!

The UNMASC! project is a 2-year international artistic research and theatre project in Kosovo, Serbia, and Austria that aims to promote gender justice by making structural violence visible and creating counter narratives to misogynist and patriarchal values, norms, and role expectations. The project has three main objectives:
  • Transnational artistic research
  • Promoting gender justice with socially engaged theatre and
  • Providing capacity building and learning opportunities in the field of socially engaged art
Through its innovative blend of artistic expression, research, and community engagement, the UNMASC! project serves as a guiding light and a catalyst for transformative social change, ushering in a future defined by equality, dignity, and respect for all.
UNMASC! involves the three organizations Artpolis (Kosovo), Kulturhaus Brotfabrik (Austria) and Association Kulturanova (Serbia), which are all active in the field of socially engaged art. These partners realize their vision of a transnational socially engaged art project through UNMASC!
