Marija “Mascha” Dabić (born 1981, Sarajevo) is a Bosnian-Austrian writer, translator, interpreter and lecturer. She translates literature from the Balkans, including works by Barbi Marković, Svetislav Basara, Dragan Velikić, Damir Ovčina, and Goran Ferčec. She studied translation (English and Russian) and political science and worked as a journalist. Her debut novel Reibungsverluste explores the life of an interpreter for refugees and was shortlisted for the 2017 Austrian Book Prize Debut. In 2018, she received the City of Vienna Literature Promotion Award.
